Aaron Newell was victorious with an exciting finish at the Camp Saratoga Snowshoe Race in Wilton, NY. It was a close one, as Newell just out-leaned runner up Connor Devine of East Berne, NY by one second. If that wasn’t close enough for you, a mere 2 seconds after Devine was Chris Repka. That’s right, the top 3 at Saratoga were separated by only 3 seconds. Newell’s time was 20:09, Devine was at 20:10, and Repka at 20:12.
Sarah Dzikowicz had a bit more of a cushion as she won the women’s race by 46 seconds over runner-up Tracey Delaney of Queensbury. Dzikowicz won the race with a time of 26:44 and Delaney was 27:30. Another minute and 15 seconds later and it was Jennifer Ferriss crossing the line in 28:45.
