Lambert Takes New Mexico

Three time US National Team member Laurie Lambert won the 10k national qualifying race in Red River, NM.  The Texan’s time of 57:25 was a little over 2 and a half minutes faster than her nearest competitor.  Whitney Dreier of Los Alamos, NM finished 2nd in just over an hour (1:00:03).  Shirley Van Slooten finished 6 seconds later in 1:00:09.

Matt Drier won the men’s race in 51:52, Daryl Dagel of Albuquerque was 2nd in 55:37, and Arne Leonard finished in 3rd with a time of 1:00:02.

Henry Sime was the winner of the 19 & under 5k national qualifying race, with a time of 35:01.
