Sara Tarkington of Boulder was crowned victorious at the Colorado State Snowshoe Championships.  The Championships were held at the Tennessee Pass Nordic Center as a part of the Power Snowshoe Adventure Series.  Tarkington won the 10k race with a time of 1:02:52.  Mariah Blayr of Eagle finished in 2nd with a 1:06:25.  Less than a minute later, at 1:07:10, was Colleen Ihnken of Frisco to capture the bronze.

On the men’s side, it was Travis Macy winning in a time of 52:49.  In 2nd place was Leadvilles’ Mark Burgess in 58:24.  Just snagging the bronze, was Peter Maksimow of Manitou Springs.  Maksimow’s time of 1:01:00 was just one second faster than Dan Niesen’s 1:01:01.
